Chapter 6

In this chapter, the Time Traveller finds himself thinking more and more about the Morlocks and their underground society. He strongly believes that they have his time machine hidden underground so he climbs down an empty well, and comes to a tunnel. Almost immediately he sees the Morlocks, but they quickly scurry away once he lights his match. He examines their machinery and tunnels and finds out they are carnivorous! He realizes that he is not prepared for this, with only limited supplies but it is too late. The Morlocks begin touching him, pulling him away but he fights back and after some time, starts making his way up to the light above the well very quickly and passes out once he arrives in the day light.
